I suspect this has been touched on before. I know people tend to pee down their legs over the art work, but...am I the only one who thinks that Criterion's DVD covers are absolutely awful? Nearly all of them that don't use something from the films themselves, look like the work of a 1960s-70s Polish poster artist with no arms or right leg. The one for MAKE WAY FOR TOMORROW takes first prize for the worst of the lot, I think, but that crayon level picture of Chaplin on CITY LIGHTS comes close. And the worst of it is that we're probably paying extra for this stuff.
