David COMMENT Your interview was both fascinating and entertaining. It took my back to better days, when TV was so much actually enjoyable. Richard Basehart was a superbly talented professional, who deserved much more kudos and honor for his work. While my all time favorite Basehart film is the enthralling "Moby Dick", he will, for me, always be Admiral Harriman Nelson, the stalwart, and personable designer of Submarine Seaview! I especially enjoyed the special relationship that existed between The Admiral and Seaview's skipper, brought to life, on screen by Mr. Basehart's, and your own unique talents! Actors like you, David, and Mr. Basehart, will never be equalled by today's modern performers. God Bless you, and may you have a happy, and healthy year! Gloria Puel

Posts: 236 Sep 19 11 2:44 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Has anyone here seen Joseph Losey's The Intimate Stranger (1956) with Richard Basehart and the late Mary Murphy (the nice small-town girl who had a thing for Marlon Brando in The Wild One)? Basehart is an American film director in self-imposed exile in England for having committed sexual indiscretions in Hollywood. But his past may have caught up with him in Blighty. The director is blackmailed by a woman who claims to be his former lover (Murphy), yet he denies ever having met her. I'm told that The Intimate Stranger (aka Finger of Guilt) is a very paranoid thriller and one of Losey's most underrated films.

Now I know it was the AHH "Black Curtain" He was good in SATAN BUG, I still want to see MANSION OF THE DOOMED, thought he looked ill in BEING THERE, have HOUSE ON TELEGRAPH HILL to watch shortly, have ISLAND OF DR MOREAU also to watch shortly. Best of all, loved him in one of my childhood favourites - VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA Oh yes, and his crazy killer actor in COLUMBO where he and Avenger girl Honor Blackman really seem to be playing Dick and Liz
