That's alarming.Actually, the best version of GOJIRA that I have is a vhs dubbed from an LD of the original, sub-titled version like TMC showed, and very close in quality. Things being what they are, I haven't sprung for the latest dvd, but now that I'm gainfully employed I might have to treat myself later. There used to be a company that "rented" S-VHS dubs of Toho's films, made from LD's, all sub-titled original Japanese versions. They were all very high quality and I even got a copy of BARAN, before the Americans butchered it into VARAN.

Though you should pick the rancid lettuce out of your hair for maximum effect. What hair? The lettuce is my latest attempt at a weave.

My husband, considerably more orderly than I would be on my own, came up with the filing system. We shelve the pro DVDs in alphabetical order. We assign file numbers to all the homemade DVDs and file those in numerical order. The computer has the up-to-date alphabetized list connecting the titles with the numbers. Now and then I print out the list. We keep the most recent print-out in a binder, in a drawer in the cabinet between the chairs where we watch TV when we watch together. Every now and then it strikes me that this arrangement is (a) extremely convenient but (b) also somewhat nuts.
