I probably will wind up mail-ordering it if it's the only way i can get it. I just so prefer to walk into a store and pick up what i want, pay cash and walk out, even if i have to drive a half hour to do so.

No matter- first off- SCARLET. It's damn near perfect. (Well, there are a few typos in the articles you didn't let me proof). But you should have given us a word of friendly warning that we had Forry's last Crimson Chronicles. Read it with a catch in my throat and a tear in my eye. Literally. You say "Wicked" , like it's a bad thing.

Bravo. I am moved by the quiet inclusion of Forry Ackerman's final piece for Scarlet. Scarlet #2 does not disappoint. Wonderful craftsmanship and erudite articles. One of the best things I can say about Scarlet is that it's going to take me weeks to read all of it. It's informationally dense. I tend to go for Harry's music reviews first off, but I couldn't get through his enthusiastic commentary on Max Steiner's score for SHE before feeling compelled to rush to the computer to place an order with Amazon.com for the new recording (I love the new color dvd Legend release of SHE). Harry and Michael Wilk make a great team - you guys aced your cover assignments yet again. Thanks so much Kevin, et all, for letting me be part of this classy enterprise. http://web.mac.com/johndods

Great stuff on THE MUMMY..... This is the first issue of VHJ that I have read (I know, I know), and I liked it very much. At this moment, my favorite article is the interview from Mr Michael Barnum with Jimmy Baird (sister of Mousketeer Sharon) and the photos that accompany that article. But everything is a fine read! She finally got Harry all to herself!
