Publishing it was one of the best tributes to him, since one of the major things he wanted to do with his life was to communicate. And he did it very well indeed! |

>>the opening inside poster (and lobby card is it?) from "The Invisible Man" paid the price of admission right there....and they were in color!
... Highlights of other photos for me include one of the many Princess' reincarnations in "The Mummy", another of Karloff being 'dried
out' I think, many of the Rains' pix's and the closing page of Hitchcock under an umbrella outside the Psycho set is a real hoot!<<
We don't credit individual photos, generally (what a nightmare that could be!), but we are deeply indebted to Stephen Sally, Eric Caiden, Buddy Barnett and John Soister for loaning stills. The INVISIBLE MAN poster came from John & I was glad I could present it in color. I was delighted to run across those stills of all the princess' incarnations at the last Monster Bash -- I believe at Stephen Sally's stand (but it might have been Buddy Barnett's). One usually only sees one or two & I don't think I've ever seen a still from the French reincarnation scenes before. The inside back cover was created by me from the best still we had of the Bates house ... but which unfortunately had a much older Anthony Perkins on the stairs. So I cut & pasted in a still from one of Hitch's TV intros. I think the result was in keeping with the tone of Hitch's droll humor. |
