Too much liquor leads to a visiting woman being raped by one of the hunters. She in turn shoots the man and the others basically have to track her down before she can ruin their lives. She either has to shut up or die. This movie is brutal, nihlistic, bleak, misanthropic, uncompromising and you may never want to watch it again. But you need to see it at least once. It takes a very hard look at what those with power and influence can and will do to "protect" what is theirs. All of the hunters are seemingly "average" people but they all have major skeletons in their closets and you wouldn't mind seeing all of them die horribly. Mimsy Farmer is put through her paces here and if she did her own stunts my hat is off to her. This is a major variation on The Most Dangerous Game/Open Season sub genre as hunting a human was never the initial intent. "Some days its not worth the effort of chewing through the restraints".

LADY AND THE MONSTER is not quite in the same league, but I will watch that far more often than Universal's B- efforts of the era. Of course Monogram is in a class by itself. ( I know- I am awaiting incoming ammo) You say "Wicked" , like it's a bad thing.
