Harry and Ken, despite the abuse I give them and their own desire to portray themselves as curmudgeons of varying degrees, are two of the nicest human beings on the planet. My eight hours at Monster Bash were over far too soon and I regret that family commitments in Kinsman, Ohio (some place I never knew existed before this weekend) prevented me from meeting up with folks for dinner. It was nice seeing Mike again as well as (very briefly) Arlene and JP. I had a chance to meet Elizabeth in person finally. Mark Redfield and Jenny Rouse were great hosts and company for the day and I was glad to cement my friendship with them. Chuck and Tara Mal from Horroratures were incredibly welcoming as well. There were too many people present that I didn't get to meet (Mr. Len and Joe Moe as well as folks from other boards who were attending). I was down in the hot (as 89 degrees room temperature) end of the hotel that only Mike could find - that isn't a slur against anyone else as I would never have found the dealer room had I not accidentally bumped into Ken in the hallway. It was great fun and profitable to boot and I truly hope I can do a weekend next time around. In fact, but for one unsupervised youngster with numchucks in desperate need of his ridulin, it was a perfect day.
