I've finally seen those movies for the very first time the other day, after buying the Legacy set. I watched them all the same evening and loved all 3
films! The first movie "Creature From The Black Lagoon" is of course the best of the three, but "The Revenge Of The Creature" and "The
Creature Walks Among us" are worthy sequels to the 1954 original. All three films are classics, no doubt about it.

Just watched my MGM disc of this film last night, and was quite surprised to see that a genre film from 1957 featured an unambiguously gay character--Jean Engstrom as Claire Winter. I thought it was handled rather subtly at first, with Engstrom flirting with Beverly Tyler's Sarah Adams, followed by Muvyn Vye chiding Engstrom about encouraging "bad habits", but then later in the film Engstrom pursues Tyler more aggressively, while simultaneously brutally rejecting the advances of...

I watched TEENAGE MONSTER (1957) last night, and found the experience surprisingly depressing (and not just because the film wasnt particularly good). I think it had more to do with the earlier scenes in which we get to know Charlie as an ideal childcute, polite, loving and helpful--only to see him transformed into a hulking brute through a bizarre act of God.

Had "Monster-Charlie" been a devious fiend, the film could have been an enjoyable take on the juvenile delinquency films of the...
