Does anybody else remember the Brian Clemens Thriller series from the late 1970s? It was very scary indeed - some episodes were concerned with the
supernatural, others were whodunits and straight forward mysteries, but the general feeling conveyed by Clemens, who also wrote some episodes of The
Avengers, was of an unsurpassed creepiness - Clemens stated in an interview that he was a fan of Hitchcock and was influenced by him when writing the

With Hammer restarting production again, I did a little comparing to Universal. I notice that Universal has not enthusiastically remade films for character
they do not own such as the Invisible Man, the Frankenstein's Monster, and the Phantom of the Opera. In contrast, Imhotep the Mummy and Wolfman have/will
receive remakes, and it seems the Creature of the Black Lagoon will.

So, will Hammer do any remakes? I cannot recall too many original characters or series that they created.

We had a discussion about horror movies and social commentaries, so I would like to ask... What do you think about Hammer and social commentary - can they go
hand in hand? Aida Young claimed that TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA explored Victorian England, and I like the film, but I think the whole dont trust anyone
